The archive is organised as a collection of samples, references, and studies documenting the life of materials over time. Rather than presenting materials as isolated products, the project considers them in relation to atmosphere, light, and occupation.

Observations are gathered through use rather than specification alone. The archive becomes a record of change, revealing how surfaces soften, weather, and acquire character through time.

Minimal entry hall featuring a sculptural dark oak pivot door.

The archive documents use, aging, and texture.

Minimal timber shelving with integrated ambient lighting and curated objects.

Materials are observed in relation to the spaces they shape.

OBS.03

Materials reveal themselves gradually.

A surface is understood most clearly through use rather than description.

Time remains the most reliable measure of material character.
