Filled stone with open pores that soften through use, light, and the slow passage of seasons. Its character emerges gradually rather than all at once.

OBS.02

Travertine becomes more interesting as it becomes less perfect.

Close-up of textured travertine steps illuminated by warm natural sunlight.

Observed Surface 01

Travertine is formed through mineral deposits carried by moving water. Small cavities, tonal shifts, and irregular edges are not defects but evidence of its formation.

Across residential and hospitality projects, the material is often selected for its ability to soften light and reduce visual noise. Rather than reflecting attention, it absorbs it.

Its character is rarely immediate. It emerges through occupation, shadow, and use.

Every project begins with observation.
